  1. 500 gm Sabudana(sago)
  2. 500 gm peanut
  3. 200 gm mataki(moth beans)
  4. 200 gm kala chana(black grams)
  5. 250 gm poha(flattened rice)
  6. 2 potatoes
  7. 1 Onion
  8. 1 Tomato
  9. as per needed Coriander
  10. as required Garam masala powder

Steps to make to make Maharashtratrian Snacks

  1. For sabudana Khichdi(sabudana usal)-soak sago overnight
  2. Boil potatoes
  3. Dry roast peanuts and grind coarsely
  4. Make tadka in pan add jeera, green chillies, sago, peanut and boil potatoes
  5. Add 1tsp sugar and lemon juice
  6. Cover and cook for 3-4 min Sabudana khichdi is ready
  7. For Matki chi Usal- soak moth overnight and cook in pressure cooker till soft
  8. Make tadka in pan, add onion, tomatoes in oil, curry leaves, salt, chilli powder and termeric
  9. Add cooked moth, mix, cover and cook for 5min Matki chi Usal is ready
  10. For Nagpur special Tarri poha- Wash and drain water from flattened rice
  11. Make tadka,add Green chillies, onion in oil, add salt and turmericpowder, add poha, 1tsp sugar, cover and cook for 3-4min Poha is ready
  12. For kala chana usal(Tarri gravy)- Soak black grams overnight, cook in pressure cooker till soft
  13. Make tadka of onion, tomatoes in oil(little extra oil for tarri),salt, chill powder, turmericpowder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, add chana, water and cook for 5min Tarri chana gravy in ready
  14. For sabudana vada- take soaked sabudana (sago) in bowl, add boiled potatoes, peanut powder,salt, chopped green chillies
  15. Mix all together, give shape of patties and deep fry in oil
  16. Maharashtratrian all time popular menu is ready to serve
