  14. 6-7 cloves chopped garlic
  15. 1 tbsp chopped ginger
  16. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  17. For chokha:
  18. 1 large brinjal
  19. 2 large tomatoes
  20. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  21. 4 garlic cloves
  22. 2 green chillies
  23. 1 tsp mustard oil
  24. 1 cup ghee for dipping littes

Instructions to make to make Litti -chokha

  1. Mix all the ingredients of litti covering,and make a semi soft dough by adding some water.Cover and keep aside.
  2. Prepare sattu filling by mixing all the ingredients of stuffing.Add a little water to make a crumbled structure.
  3. Divide dough into lamon sized balls.Fill up 2 tbsp stuffing in each ball and seal to make a ball like structure.Prepare all litties in same manner.
  4. Heat a tawa,arrange all litties on it,cover with a large lid and cook on low flame for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Flip litties in between.When roasted from all sides,remove from tawa.
  6. Meanwhile put brinjal,tomatoes,garlic and chillies on another tawa,cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes.
  7. After 15 minutes,remove from tawa.Remove skins of brinjal and tomatoes.
  8. Mash them along with garlic and chillies.
  9. Add other ingredients of chokha,mix.
  10. Now put a wire rack on open flame of stove.Arrange litties on rack and further roast on low flame.
  11. Roast litties till golden brown.Take ghee in a cup and dip litties in ghee before serving.
  12. Serve littes hot with chokha.
